    Closed Loop

    Every plastics production generates some scrap that cannot be immediately reused. While small parts and runners can often be returned directly into the process via auxiliary mills, there is also waste that cannot be processed on-site due to size or composition. That scrap must leave the plant for reprocessing. But where to send it? Naturally, to MOCOM!
    To make this as economical as possible, our Closed Loop experts provide comprehensive, complimentary consultation on-site. Reusing your own waste is the best value creation you can achieve in terms of sustainability. To maintain the high quality of the input materials, certain rules must be followed. These are discussed with the experts and the effort for collection and logistics is determined together. Even complex composites need not go straight to incineration, since MOCOM’s reprocessing technologies offer many possibilities. With the Closed Loop process, you benefit twice: you save disposal costs that would have been incurred anyway and your end product becomes more sustainable. By using a share of high-quality recycled material instead of virgin material, your product’s carbon footprint is significantly reduced.

    Recycling as a Service

    Our experts know waste streams very well – not only for plastics. In our technical center in Gardelegen, Germany, we also analyze composites with other components, such as inorganic or metallic parts. As with our Closed Loop offering, we provide competent, free consultation on how reprocessing could be carried out. If products arise that you no longer want but MOCOM can repurpose for new market applications, a win-win situation emerges for both supplier and environment.
    With Recycling as a Service, we take a holistic view of the problem and only charge for the processing steps necessary for your product. You decide the form and composition of the returned material after our reprocessing.
     
    For the Open Loop materials – you do not wish to take them back – we find a suitable application and compensation is based on the potential value creation. Anything is better than final disposal.
