PLASTIMAGEN MÉXICO: MOCOM showcases compounds for lighting and focuses on recyclates

MOCOM will be exhibiting at PLASTIMAGEN MÉXICO 2023 in Mexico City, Booth 606, focusing on technical polymers with specific attention on the portfolio for lighting applications as well as sustainable compounds. PLASTIMAGEN will take place this year from November 7 – 10 and is one of the world's leading trade fairs for industrial plastics processing in Latin America.

This year, the trade fair will focus on circular economy. Sustainable plastics solutions and the question of how we can bring our products into a closed loop have also become the focus for the compounder MOCOM. The compounder, therefore, supplies numerous customers in the Americas region and around the world with customized recycled compounds, including those in industries such as automotive and transportation, electrical and electronics, sports and leisure as well as home and garden. In response to the shift toward more sustainable products, MOCOM is changing the strategic direction of its product portfolio, increasingly concentrating on the extensive ECO portfolio. Based on post-consumer recyclate (PCR) and post-industrial recyclate (PIR), MOCOM offers a broad technical product portfolio of sustainable materials with the Altech® ECO and Alfater XL® ECO brands. MOCOM also develops individual compounds manufactured with bio-based raw materials. The portfolio is complemented by the recyclate-based Alcom® LB ECO, which is used in reflector applications with its highly reflective and lightproof properties, and Alcom® LD ECO for light-diffusing applications.
