Fakuma 2023: MOCOM recycled material processed into bit holders at BOY booth

Hamburg, October 5, 2023. MOCOM will present at this year's Fakuma together with injection molding machine manufacturer BOY how to produce functional bit holders with overmolded handles from the recycling compound Altech® PA6 ECO 2030/219 BK using a BOY 35 E VV injection molding machine. Based on this example, MOCOM and BOY will show how recycled materials are processed directly at the trade show at booth 7101 in hall A7. With this demonstration, MOCOM once again highlights its expertise in sustainable materials.
Altech® PA6 ECO 2030/219 BK is an impact modified and heat ageing stabilized PA6 compound, which consists largely of post-industrial waste. The use of Altech® PA6 ECO 2030/219 BK saves approximately 85% of the greenhouse gas potential compared to virgin material.
"Through live on-site production, we are demonstrating that mechanically recycled polymers can be used in robust parts, making the concept of a circular economy a tangible reality. This approach enables us to realize CO2 savings and make a significant contribution to environmental protection and resource conservation," explains Dr. Stefan Zepnik, Director Technical Service Center.
MOCOM will be exhibiting its sustainable portfolio at Fakuma in Friedrichshafen. From October 17 to 21, the company can be found at booth 4206 in hall B4.
