MOCOM receives Gold Certification for the third time in EcoVadis Sustainability Rating

Hamburg, November 30, 2023. MOCOM has once again been awarded the Gold Medal by the rating agency EcoVadis for globally recognized Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards. With this accolade, MOCOM secures its position among the top five percent of companies evaluated by EcoVadis. The assessment system is based on international CSR standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact, and ISO 26000, taking into account criteria related to environment, social (labor and human Rights), ethics, and sustainable procurement.

Compared to the previous year, MOCOM has gained additional points in all areas. EcoVadis evaluated measures such as the certification of the environmental and occupational safety management systems in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 positively. In total, MOCOM achieved 76 points, narrowly missing out on the Platinum Medal.

In addition to a wide range of product specialties and customized customer solutions, MOCOM annually develops and produces over 17,000 tons of recycling compounds. This translates to a CO2(eq) reduction of nearly 50,000 tons. Well-known product brands such as Altech® ECO, Alfater XL® ECO, and Altech® IQ are used in a multitude of applications by renowned brand manufacturers, underscoring MOCOM's clear commitment to sustainability.
