WIPAG awarded gold for the first time in EcoVadis sustainability ranking

Hamburg, 02.08.2022. WIPAG has been awarded gold for the first time by the rating agency EcoVadis according to worldwide Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards. This puts WIPAG among the top five percent of the companies rated by EcoVadis. The rating system of the assessment specialist is based on international CSR standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative, the United Nations Global Compact and ISO 26000, taking into account criteria from the environmental, social (labor and human rights), ethical and sustainable procurement areas.
WIPAG has improved its performance in all categories (environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement). Measures such as the optimization of internal processes regarding sustainability and the support of the MoorFutures® project of the Schleswig-Holstein Nature Conservation Foundation have been positively received in the EcoVadis ranking.
"We are delighted that EcoVadis has awarded us Gold for the first time and that our efforts to grow as a sustainable company are now visible," says Dominik Händler, Director Sourcing & Product Management. "We can only survive in the market if we make our actions sustainable in all areas. The EcoVadis assessment criteria therefore also reflect the values of our group."
As a recycling specialist, WIPAG has been supporting its customers for more than 30 years in establishing circular economy processes and returning plastic waste to production. WIPAG thus contributes to meeting the challenges of our time on the way to a more sustainable and CO2-free future.
