MOCOM presents flexible materials at the DKT Fair 2024

Hamburg, June 5, 2024. MOCOM, a manufacturer of innovative and sustainable technical compounds, will present its comprehensive and customized product portfolio at the DKT Fair 2024 in Nuremberg, Germany. You can find MOCOM in Hall 9 at the joint booth with its sister company KRAHN Chemie, booth 9-407. The focus will be on olefin-based, sustainable thermoplastic elastomer compounds from the brands Alfater XL®, Alfater XL® ECO, Wipelast, and Wipaflex, which provide flexible and sustainable solutions for the automotive industry and other sectors.
"With our new product developments, we at MOCOM are pursuing a clear path towards more sustainable and safer materials with customized functionalities for technical solutions," explains Dr. Stefan Zepnik, Director of the Technical Service Center at MOCOM.
Among the innovations that MOCOM will showcase at the DKT Fair are:
- Alfater XL®: An expansion of the portfolio with Alfater XL® FR, a flame-retardant TPV (PP+EPDM) that meets the growing demand for elastomeric material solutions, particularly in electromobility. Its properties include a Shore hardness of A75, halogen-free, antimony-free, BPA-free, PTFE-free, as well as V0 certification at 1.5 mm thickness and high heat aging resistance.
- Alfater XL® ECO: New materials for extrusion in various hardnesses, including Shore A90, combine elastomeric properties, thermoplastic processing, and recyclability. Alfater XL® ECO is a sustainable TPV (PP+EPDM) based on crosslinked EPDM rubber and sustainable raw materials like recycled PP (post-industrial and/or post-consumer recycling) with a high CO2 savings potential.
- Wipelast and Wipaflex: Sustainable TPO solutions based on high-quality, in-house recycled PP+EPDM raw materials. These offer excellent value for money, good impact resistance, and high CO2 savings potential, making them ideal for typical automotive applications such as wheel arch liners.
MOCOM can be found at the DKT Fair 2024 in Nuremberg in Hall 9, Stand 9-407.
