Chinaplas 2024: MOCOM focuses on plastics solutions for lighting applications and sustainable materials

Changshu, March 14, 2024. MOCOM, a compounder headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, is set to make its debut appearance at Chinaplas from April 23rd to 26th, 2024. Collaborating with its sister company and distributor ALBIS, MOCOM will showcase its plastic solutions for lighting applications and sustainable products targeting the Automotive and Transportation, E&E, as well as Sports & Leisure markets at Stand A42 in Hall 7.2.

After a six-year hiatus, Chinaplas returns to Shanghai this year, strategically located in one of the pivotal regions for companies in the plastics processing industry and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). This resurgence provides an ideal platform for introducing innovative product solutions to the market. Klaus-Simon Dröge, CEO MOCOM APAC, emphasizes the significance of the Chinese market in the plastics industry, underlining the immense potential MOCOM sees for its business in China: "At this year's Chinaplas, we will showcase our high-quality lighting products and applications crafted from compounds containing recycled materials or from the Altech NXT PP® portfolio. This compound fills the void between traditional polypropylene (PP) and polyamide (PA), setting new benchmarks for glass fiber-reinforced PP compounds."

In addition to its participation in Chinaplas, MOCOM is placing a strategic emphasis on local product development and production in Changshu, where it has been actively operating for the past decade. During this year's Chinaplas, MOCOM aims to demonstrate to its Chinese clientele that products from its portfolio are readily available, offering seamless access and convenience. As such, MOCOM is not only active in China but also maintains a presence in other key markets within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, including Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam. The distribution network of ALBIS serves as a vital foundation for MOCOM's expansion into these markets.
