Whitepaper: Tedur® PPS IM – more impact strength for demanding applications

With two new grades, MOCOM expands its Tedur^® portfolio with impact-modified, glass fiber reinforced high-performance polymers based on PPS. These compounds combine the excellent mechanical, thermal and chemical properties of conventional PPS materials with significantly improved notched and unnotched impact strength. Compared to PPA GF 35, Tedur® PPS IM demonstrates a 25 % higher Charpy notched impact strength. Additionally, it offers excellent structural stability even under high thermal and chemical stress, thanks in part to low water absorption.

What does this mean?
Technically demanding applications in fluid management or high thermal environments benefit from this new class of materials, which presents a true alternative to PPA – offering improved creep resistance and stable performance even after long-term storage in oil or coolants.
